The Ashland Branch, located in Ashland, serves as the main branch of Boyd County Public Library District. It is located in Central Park, just past Crabbe Elementary and next to the pickleball courts. Ashland houses the largest collection in the district, including books, magazines, newspapers, movies, games, and large print. It has a gaming system for teens and another one for kids, computers and laptops for library use, a copier/scanner, and a fax machine available for public use.
The Winder Room for Local History and Genealogy, located on the second floor, houses one of the largest family history collections in the area. The Children’s Room, located in the basement, has a 250 gallon fish tank full of colorful fish and a delightful mural painted by artist, Charles Haskins. At the southeast entrance is the Reading Garden with access to Central Park and the Library Commons. There is a large, 50 seat capacity meeting room, and two small study rooms. The administrative offices are located on the second floor.
