Job Title: Technical Services Clerk (Part-Time)

Location: Technical Services

Position Type: Part-time, Weekday Afternoons (20 hours per week)

Overview:

Boyd County Public Library is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our Processing Department. This part-time position involves supporting the department in various tasks related to maintaining and updating our library’s collection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, process, and prepare new library materials for circulation.
  • Repair damaged materials and ensure they meet circulation standards.
  • Assist in cataloging and adding new items to the library database.
  • Remove outdated or damaged items from the library’s collection and database.
  • Collaborate with the Processing Department to maintain an accurate and current inventory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with library databases is a plus.
  • Physical ability to lift and move library materials as required.

Schedule:

  • Weekday afternoons (20 hours per week)
