Freedom To Read - A Banned Book Story Hour - Ashland

This event is an educational and interactive event for girls in grades K through 3rd. For the first part of the program, we will be learning the basics of freedom of speech, book banning, and censorship. The remainder of the program will be a story hour with a banned book theme. We will read books like “And Tango Makes Three” and “The Lorax.” We will also be doing a craft to accompany one of the books. This event is part of Catie Hardesty’s Gold Award “Freed Books = Freed Thinking.”
