Overdrive Hold Glitch

Overdrive had a computer glitch this morning where it sent a number of patrons e-mail notices that their holds were available when they were not. Please reassure the patrons that they are still on hold for the item(s) and will receive another notification e-mail when their hold is truly available. We’ve already had two call in today to Main so I’m expecting the error was fairly widespread. Overdrive is aware of the glitch and has (hopefully) prevented it from happening … Continue reading
Kentucky Libraries Unbound/Overdrive gets an update

Hi everyone, Starting today, Overdrive has a new look. The site features easier, faster check-out, a smoother browsing set-up, and – joy of all joys! – patrons can change the format of the item AFTER they’ve checked it out!!! They also have the ability to return items from within the website instead of needing to go to Amazon or use the Media Console. Windstream Issues for Patrons

I had a patron call today asking about extremely slow download speeds for Overdrive (Kentucky Libraries Unbound). After asking him a few questions (and doing a test download on my phone), I suggested he call his cable provider – Windstream. He very kindly called me back to pass along the information Windstream gave him. They are indeed having “issues” in this area (which we all experienced last week).
