New library supervisors
Key positions filled in youth & information services

supervisorsThe library recently filled two key supervisor positions when Misti Tidman and Jamie Bayne were hired to head up the youth services and information services departments, respectively.

Tidman comes from the Lexington Public Library, where she worked as a librarian assistant at the Eagle Creek Branch. She has a bachelor’s degree in applied communications and theatre from Asbury College, and a master’s in library science from the University of Kentucky. Her previous experience working with children includes teaching preschool, serving as the art and drama instructor at a Boys & Girls Club, and teaching drama at a summer music camp.

Bayne, a Huntington native, worked most recently at Kanawha County Public Library. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and classical languages from the University of South Florida, a master’s in literature from Marshall University, and a master’s in library science from the University of Washington.
