Library showing movies

The Library is the newest place in town to watch movies.

Admission is free, and refreshments will be served.

Boyd County Public Library recently purchased a "movie public performance copyright compliance site license" for the Main Branch from Movie Licensing USA. Licenses for the Catlettsburg and Summit branches could be added later, if the movies prove popular. The license allows for the public showing of movies from most of the major studios.

• Baby Mama, Thursday, Sept. 11, 5:30 p.m.
• Speed Racer, Wednesday, Sept. 17, 5 p.m.
• Sex and the City (GNO), Wednesday, Sept. 24, 5:30 p.m.
• Leatherheads, Sunday, Sept. 28, 1:30 p.m.
• Scary Saturday: Scooby Doo & the Goblin King, Saturday, Oct. 4, 2 p.m.
