Employees at BCPL were recently trained in the procedures for Code Adam, the country’s largest child-safety program. BCPL is only the second library in Kentucky to launch Code Adam, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Since Code Adam began in 1994, it has become a search tool for lost and possibly abducted children in thousands of establishments in the U.S. It is named in memory of 6-year-old Adam Walsh, whose abduction from a Florida shopping mall … Continue reading
