Please note: Our Catlettsburg branch will be closed Friday, November 4, through Sunday, November 13 for repairs. It will reopen at 9 a.m. on Monday, November 14. All other branches will be open regular hours.

Caroling, Cookies and Cocoa!

On Monday, November 14, the Main branch of Boyd County Public Library will have caroling, cookies and cocoa from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in celebration of the Winter Wonderland of Light’s Opening Night.

Letters to Santa

Throughout the month of November, children can write and drop off their letters to Santa at any of our three branches. In December, one letter will be selected each day through December 20  and posted on our Facebook page.

Barktober Event!

  Boyd County Public Library will host a Barktober event on Saturday, October 29, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will be held in conjunction with the grand opening of Central Bark, the new dog park located in Ashland’s Central Park. Monster Bash

Get ready for a ghoulish good time! Featuring a costume / cosplay contest, vendors, special guests (cosplayers, Ghostbusters, Imperial Legion lightsaber group and more), refreshments and vendors, BCPL’s Monster Bash is a fun way to kick off Halloween weekend. The event will be held after hours, from 6 – 8 p.m., on October 28 at our Kyova Mall branch.
