ILL Change is coming!

We will be launching the patron initiated login site for ILL borrowing very shortly.

Please visit:

Create an account – try to request an ILL (if there isn’t anything you want to try to get, make a fake one and just let us know in the notes field that you’re simply practicing) – get familiar with the features the site offers so you can share with patrons.

The patrons will have the benefit of being able to see the status of their requests, requesting a renewal, and seeing a history of their requests.

To register, they are required to have a valid e-mail account.

Patrons who will not use e-mail may still use the paper forms; they will not have the previously mentioned benefits, but they will still be able to request materials.  The current online form will be defunct when this site launches live.

Please make sure they know that ANY type of material loan (CDs, DVDs, Books, etc) will be done using the BOOK request form.

Patrons who create new accounts should be encouraged to use their library card number as their User ID (but it won’t stop them from making something up).

If they create an account and we have already been making requests for them through the system, we will be able to merge the accounts and they will see their request history, etc.

See me or anyone in Reference with questions!

For those who were having trouble registering because it was requiring a “Department” code, but there is no place for it, that was fixed on Friday — Thanks to those who let me know it was happening!
