BCPL is “exemplary” library

We are thrilled to have received Exemplary status from the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives. This is the highest rating a library can receive in Kentucky. Exemplary libraries are those that “exceed expectations,” according to the Kentucky Public Library Standards. Only five libraries in the state have this distinction. BCPL’s board and staff have been working hard on attaining exemplary status since the standards were first announced a few years ago.
