This is an interesting article on ebook use.  Yes, BCPL offers ebooks (46,000 of them) and, yes, there are often long wait times.  But we are working to alleviate that by committing 11% of the materials budget to this format.  Do you read e-books from the library?  Why or why not?  We’d like to hear your comments on this subject. Monday’s Health Screening is Postponed

Our Lady of Bellefonte will not be able to do our scheduled health screening on Monday morning.  Diana Williams,  has been called out of town to welcome her first grand baby.   The screening will be rescheduled ASAP (hopefully within the week).  I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.  I guess the bright side is,  you can have breakfast on Monday morning!

The Library would like to announce the addition of two new services – Freegal Music and Freading (ebooks). Freegal Music is an online database that provides access to songs from Sony Music. The music files are DRM-free and do not expire, and are compatible with PCs, Macs, iPods, iPads, smartphones and other MP3-compatible devices.
