The Ledge

The Ledge begins with a young man, Gavin (Charlie Hunnam), walking out onto the ledge of a building. Detective Lucetti (Terrence Howard) shows up to talk him down. We learn that Detective Lucetti brings his own personal problems to work with him on this day. Gavin tells the detective his story. He still has time. He isn’t jumping until noon. We learn how he fell in love with Shana (Liv Tyler) who is unfortunately married to Joe (Patrick Wilson). Their love story begins slowly and becomes very passionate. Shana eventually tells Gavin that she loves him. He doesn’t tell her but he does show her in a very dramatic, heart-breaking but expected turn of events.
