By Kellie Nunley, BCPL technical services supervisor Gone is the day of the video store. Now all you see are oversized “red” boxes outside your local supermarket. I have never used one of these “red boxes” but I am sure the convenience of getting a movie after you grocery shop for an all-in-one shopping experience is just that, convenient. What do you do, though, when you want something more than a new release? I’ll tell you what; stop by Boyd … Continue reading
Every citizen of the United States should watch this movie. I watched it because Morgan Freeman is in it. Everyone knows if he’s in the movie it will be great. It also stars Dylan McDermott (American Horror Story) and Gerard Butler (Law Abiding Citizen), two other great reasons to watch. This is about the extremely dramatic capture of the White House by terrorists. If you are as patriotic as I am you will yelling at the TV screen, cheering for … Continue reading
Being the mother of a rambunctious toddler, I don’t get to the movie theater much. In fact, I think I’ve seen one other movie the entire time the booger has been alive. However! Julianne Margulies is a psychiatrist who is attempting to treat a young man with multiple personalities. The man responds to phone calls as another person. When he switches from one personality to another his facial features and body contort into frightening and unbelievable positions. One of the characters is in a wheelchair and cannot walk. She learns that each of his personalities is a murder victim. She must hurry because the next victim may be someone she loves.
This video is scary from begining to end. When the ghosts show up in the daytime, no place is safe. Unlike a lot of horror films, this one makes sense all the way through and ends logically. It’s based on a true story so that makes it even better, or worse depending on your point of view. I would recommend watching it and I will probably watch it again.
This film stars Anna Kendrick (Twilight Saga) as Sarah and Paul Wesley (The Vampire Diaries) as Billy. Young girls are missing in a small town. When Sarah’s friend, Jillian turns up missing Sarah is the only one searching for her. Her mother is a loser who doesn’t seem the least bit concerned about her daughter. The local cop was following Jillian on her dating website and she threatened him so he isn’t helping in the search either. I enjoy films that keep … Continue reading
