Divergent is the first book by Veronica Roth. She’s only 22, and Divergent was branded the Buzz Book of 2011. It’s sequel, Insurgent, was released earlier this year.  Yes, this is another multi-booker, which means I’ll have to wait another year to find out what happens after Insurgent, only to have to wait another year after that, probably, to get to the end. This is an interesting article on ebook use.  Yes, BCPL offers ebooks (46,000 of them) and, yes, there are often long wait times.  But we are working to alleviate that by committing 11% of the materials budget to this format.  Do you read e-books from the library?  Why or why not?  We’d like to hear your comments on this subject. The Library would like to announce the addition of two new services – Freegal Music and Freading (ebooks). Freegal Music is an online database that provides access to songs from Sony Music. The music files are DRM-free and do not expire, and are compatible with PCs, Macs, iPods, iPads, smartphones and other MP3-compatible devices.
